We care and so do our guests!
Everyone wants to enjoy themselves while on vacation. For some of our guests, that includes a desire to give back. We offer small and large ways to get involved with the community, and specifically ways to simultaneously interact with the local children and families as well as donate something that can be helpful.
For some groups, they welcome visitors who will come and practice English with them or perhaps share something about their home town. And there is always a need if you would care to donate more than your time. See the video and an example of one family’s donation of playground equipment. The family worked alongside the students and their families to build the set and to beautify their school’s outdoor space. A local artist donated his art and paints to paint a beautiful mural as part of this project and there was a presentation about the marine life by a local group, as well. Overall it was fulfilling for the visitors and very much appreciated by the school, the students, and the families.
We facilitate the interaction based on the guests level of help (personal time, specific donation) and the current needs of the local community. We will work with you and the local schools and community liasons to customize your interaction.
