Do Monkeys Eat Wasps?

April 19, 2014 by redspiralhand

Is there such a thing as a wasp eating Capuchin?  Headed to the Prieta Beach Club yesterday, we saw an amazing site!  A white-faced monkey had dislodged and taken a small wasp nest from the tree.  Though, it was bigger than the monkey’s head!  The monkey went on to break the nest apart and seemed to be eating the wasps within!

Keep your eyes peeled for all sorts of strange and beautiful behavior by the animals, insects, and birds at Peninsula Papagayo.  And please let us know what you see.  The best stories with photos can have a guest post on our blog!

Enjoy the nature you find at Peninsula Papagayo!
